First built in the early 1860s, The Commercial Hotel was a timber structure. The second fire at the site completely destroyed the building in 1891 with tragic consequences. Rebuilt as a brick structure in 1892 is what still stands at the site today. The building’s life as a pub ended when it was de-commissioned in 1920 but not without taking yet another life. The pub was transformed into a bush hospital in the early 20th century operating until the mid 1990s when it was converted into a guesthouse. Many of the original features of the building are still intact including the refurbished cellar.

During this paranormal investigation, you will have access to the whole building and grounds to fully explore in your own time. You will be shown historical documents and photographs of people once connected to the site. You become the investigator using a range of paranormal ghost hunting tools recording your experiences and findings. There will be an opportunity to join in group activities and paranormal experiments if you wish.

The guesthouse is family owned which means the hospitality is welcoming and friendly. There will be home made sharing platters and dessert throughout the night followed by a continental breakfast. You will not go hungry! All rooms have ensuites.
